The Dam Busters is a mix between an arcade game and a flight sim. Both the flight and damage models are basic at best. There is only one mission in The Dam Busters, and that is, not surprisingly, to bomb dams. The mission takes place at night, so you will have to deal with the nasty search lights that will make your screen go white for a brief moment, and night fighter and flak attacks, which damage your plane. You can man the fore and aft gunner positions and take out these annoyances. As you consult your map, and near the dam, you can prep a bomb. When you get close enough to the dam, let the bomb go and hope for a direct hit. The only options you have are located on the main menu. They determine how far you will start from a dam. As flying in this sim isn't exactly fun, you will want to start as close to the dam as possible. The CGA graphics are probably the best thing in this game. Only hardcore simmers will want to try out this game.
